Ingredients
1 lb (450 g) lean ground turkey
ΒΌ cup plain breadcrumbs
1 large egg, beaten
2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
Β½ tsp garlic powder
ΒΌ tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
4β6 small cubes fresh mozzarella cheese
1 jar (24 oz / 680 g) marinara sauce
Cooked pasta or zucchini noodles, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until everything is just combined. - Stuff the Meatballs
Take about 2 tablespoons of the turkey mixture and flatten it slightly in your hand. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center, then wrap the meat around the cheese and roll into a ball, making sure the cheese is fully sealed inside. Repeat with the remaining mixture. - Heat the Sauce
