Golden Creamy Crab Stuffed Puff Pastry 🦀
Buttery, flaky puff pastry wrapped around a rich and creamy crab filling with garlic, cheeses, fresh parsley, and a hint of lemon zest. Crispy and golden on the outside, soft and savory on the inside—these elegant pastries are perfect as an appetizer, snack, or light meal.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
8 oz (225 g) lump crab meat, drained
4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
½ cup (50 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon zest
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, combine the crab meat, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 4 equal squares.
Spoon the crab mixture into the center of each square.
Fold the pastry over the filling to form triangles or rectangles, then press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.
Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
