🥩🧄 Garlic Butter T-Bone Steak with Scalloped Potatoes & Roasted Asparagus ✨

📝 Ingredients
For the T-Bone Steak:
2 T-bone steaks (about 1 lb / 450 g each)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
2 sprigs fresh thyme
For the Scalloped Potatoes:
4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
For the Roasted Asparagus:
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste
½ tsp garlic powder
👨🍳 Instructions
- Prepare the Scalloped Potatoes
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
Gradually whisk in milk and cream until smooth.
Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Layer sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish, pouring sauce between layers.
Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove foil and bake an additional 20–25 minutes until golden and tender. - Roast the Asparagus
Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Spread on a baking sheet.
Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes until tender. - Cook the T-Bone Steak
Pat steaks dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat olive oil in a large cast-iron skillet over high heat.
Sear steaks for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to desired doneness.
Add butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet.
Tilt the pan and spoon the melted garlic butter over the steaks for 1–2 minutes.
Remove steaks and let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. - Serve
Plate the garlic butter T-bone steak alongside creamy scalloped potatoes and roasted asparagus. Spoon any remaining garlic butter from the skillet over the steak for extra flavor.
