📝 Ingredients
For the Steak Bites:
1½ lb (700 g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried parsley
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the French Fries:
4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
Vegetable oil, for frying
1 tsp salt
½ tsp paprika (optional)
👨‍🍳 Instructions
Prepare the Fries:
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
Drain and pat completely dry with paper towels.
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the potatoes in batches for 4–5 minutes until lightly golden. Remove and drain.
Increase the oil temperature to 375°F (190°C) and fry again for 2–3 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
Season immediately with salt and paprika.
Cook the Steak Bites:
Pat the steak cubes dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
Add steak cubes in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
Reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic.
Stir continuously for 1–2 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and the steak is coated in the garlic butter sauce.
Sprinkle with dried parsley and remove from heat.
Serve:
Plate the crispy fries alongside the garlic butter steak bites.
Garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve immediately while hot.
