Creamy Beef & Noodle Casserole
Ingredients
12 oz (340 g) egg noodles
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Cook the noodles
Boil egg noodles according to package directions.
Drain and set aside.
Brown the beef
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned.
Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Drain excess grease.
Make the creamy sauce
Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, cream cheese, milk, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Cook until smooth and creamy.
Combine
Add the cooked noodles and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
Mix well.
Bake
Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup cheddar cheese on top.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
Serve
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Tips
Add crispy bacon for extra flavor.
Use Monterey Jack or mozzarella with the cheddar for an extra cheesy pull.
Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
