Ingredients
For the Fritters
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 cups apples, peeled and diced
For the Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Fold in the diced apples.
Drop large spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each fritter.
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
While the fritters cool slightly, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters and allow it to set before serving.
Tips
Use crisp apples such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for the best texture.
Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra warmth and flavor.
