Healthy Banana Walnut Bread
This moist and delicious banana walnut bread is made with ripe bananas and walnuts, using less butter, oil, and sugar than traditional recipes. Perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert!
Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
Stir in the melted butter, oil, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in the chopped walnuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
Add a handful of chocolate chips or raisins for extra texture and flavor.
