📝 Ingredients

For the Beef Layer:

  • 1 lb ground beef 🥩
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced 🧄
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning 🌿
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Potato Layer:

  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced 🥔
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For Topping:

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 🧀
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish 🌿

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onion until softened, then add garlic and ground beef. Cook until browned.
  3. Season the beef with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Add half of the cream mixture, then spread the beef mixture on top.
  6. Add the remaining potatoes and pour over the rest of the cream mixture.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove foil, sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top, and bake uncovered for another 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm. 😍🔥
